Peter is an industrial chemist with over 30 years’ industrial experience from laboratory work to senior management across a range of industries including aerospace, electronics, pharmaceuticals, industrial adhesives and chemicals.

Peter has several years’ experience with regard to the REACH legislation, having been involved with the development of the legislation from 2002. He now provides support to a large number of clients on SIEF’s (Substance Information Exchange Fora), consortia, registration, exposure scenarios, safety data sheets, SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) and vPvB/PBT (very Persistent very Bioaccumulative/ Persistent Bioaccumulative and Toxic) assessments, IUCLID 5 (International Uniform ChemicaL Information Database) software, etc.

Also with the implementation of CLP/GHS (Classification Labelling and Packaging/ Global Harmonised System) (Title XI of REACH), he now provides consultancy support on compliance with the notification requirements of the legislation.

Peter has Chartered Scientist and Chartered Chemist status awarded by the Royal Society of Chemistry and is a member of the Chemical Hazards Communication Society.
